About Jane Eaton
Jane is an experienced Complementary Therapist and is passionate about helping people. Whilst living in South Africa she became interested in Essential Oils, Herbal Remedies and Natural Health Care methods and their benefits. Jane spent eight years in Zululand and became fascinated with Zulu traditions and their Muti, in particular the influence of the Sangoma in local communities.
Jane’s career began in the Hair and Beauty industry in the late 1980’s and she went on to lecture in the Further Education sector, sharing her skills and knowledge and established a teaching career in Complementary Therapies, Beauty Therapy and Hairdressing. In recent years Jane has taught in Secondary School Education, managing a Hair and Beauty Academy.
Jane’s passion for healthcare led her to work in Cancer and Palliative Care for the NHS at the Nightingale Macmillan Unit at Derby Royal Hospital and Loros Hospice in Leicestershire. She worked in a team of therapists offering a Complementary Therapy service for people with life limiting illnesses, their relatives and carers. Using her teaching skills, Jane created a successful training workshop at the NMU in Derby for health care assistants and volunteers to expand the massage service offered to patients on the ward.
Jane is a member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) which is the leading professional association for therapists in the UK and Ireland and is listed on their register. Jane keeps up to date with industry changes and enjoys developing her knowledge and skills further with continued professional development. For the future Jane is keen to get involved in research projects to raise the profile of Holistic Health Care and Complementary Therapies.
Jane established her private practice in 2002 and now enjoys providing a full time personalised service in Aromatherapy, Massage and Natural Skin Care. Through her professional and caring treatments, Jane is committed to giving her clients a positive experience to enable a feeling of wellbeing.
